Solitaire is one of the first card games I remember ever playing on my dad’s old Windows 98 PC. The game has come a long way since then, even with some exciting variations. One of my favorites among the newer solitaire apps is Pyramid Solitaire Cube. It has been my go-to card game for passing the time and earning some latte money.
For me, the gameplay is relaxing but also mentally stimulating since it involves simple addition. I also feel less guilty about spending time playing this pyramid game because I get to earn money. I can think of a dozen other games I play that don’t offer such money-making opportunities, so the way I see it, I’m not wasting time since I'm getting paid for it.
If you like to play solitaire games but haven't yet played Pyramid Solitaire Cube, give it a go. Based on my experience, I’ve listed everything you need to know about this exciting card game in this app review.

What is Pyramid Solitaire Cube?

Pyramid Solitaire Cube is a type of solitaire game that packs a lot of fun features for an enjoyable and rewarding gameplay experience. The game is about working through a cascade of descending cards formed like a pyramid. Your goal is to match cards whose summed values equal 13.
I’ll cover how to play the game in a few minutes. The important thing to know is that you’ll need to be strategic with your moves. You can play Pyramid Solitaire Cube solo for a solitary experience, or go head-to-head against real opponents to win real cash and other prizes.

Making money playing Pyramid Solitaire Cube

How can I make money playing this classic solitaire pyramid game? This is probably the most important thing you want to know.
It's always interesting to hear that there are mobile games where you can win money. For me, it's like rewarding your passion with money or basically making money doing what you love for free.
In any case, to better understand how to make money playing Pyramid Solitaire Cube, it’s important to understand why the game gives out prizes in the first place. It’s easy to get wrapped up in game apps that promise monetary rewards only to be a scam.
One of the ways game developers make money is through ads. You’ll notice ads occasionally pop up when interacting with the app. The company that made the app can generate income through your ad views and clicks. In return, they reward players with prizes, including virtual currency and real cash. This is their way of giving back to you and incentivizing you to remain a loyal player in the game.
Another way the development company makes money is through in-app purchases. This is when players spend real money to purchase additional features and resources that enhance their gameplay experience. These payments give the app creators some profit to share with players.
Lastly, mobile game developers can offer real cash rewards through cash wagers from players. In the case of Pyramid Solitaire Cube, players can wager real money and go head-to-head or participate in cash tournaments. Winners get the prize winnings from the pool.  Anything that you win, you get to withdraw to your PayPal account.
So how do you make money playing this solitaire game?
Now I had to take the time to explain this so you understand that Pyramid Solitaire Cube isn't giving out free money. Usually, the bonus cash from promo codes and the money you and your opponent wagered constitute your prize winnings. Play the game well, prove your skill in multiplayer tournaments, and climb up the leaderboards — that’s how you make money playing Pyramid Solitaire Cube.

Playing Pyramid Solitaire Cube

Goal

The game's goal is simple — eliminate pairs of cards that add up to 13 and clear the pyramid. Whether solo or head-to-head, players start at the bottom of the pyramid and tap on cards in the pyramid or the Draw pile below to match pairs whose summed values equal 13.
You score points with each pair of cards removed from the table. Remember that each match is slated for four minutes, so you must move quickly and be decisive with your choices.

Gameplay

The game starts with your Table and Draw Pile cards. The Table cards are the cards arranged pyramid-style in seven rows. The Draw pile sits below the pyramid, with the top card face up.
To make pairs, simply tap on two cards that add up to 13. You can tap cards within the pyramid, Draw Pile, or both to match your target. Aces through to 10 represent their respective face values, whereas Jacks count as 11, Queens count as 12, and Kings count as 13, meaning if you see a King card in the pyramid or discard pile, you can simply tap it without making a pair to score points.
The rest is just simple math — pick two cards whose values add up to 13. So Queen + Ace, Jack + 2, 10 + 3, 9 + 4, 8 + 5, and so on. The valid pairs are listed in the screen in the upper right corner.
One thing to be mindful of is that even though you can recycle the Draw pile as many times as needed, you'll need to be careful, as the goal is to clear the Pyramid, not the Draw Pile.
If you clear cards from the Draw Pile too quickly, you may not have the cards you need to match with the cards in the pyramid.
While playing, you might encounter some decks that cannot be solved. This usually happens when you’ve run out of moves. That’s why it’s important to be strategic with your choices of card pairs.

Scoring

There are three ways to obtain points in Pyramid Solitaire Cube:
  • Base score — This is earned from every valid pair you make. The score value is based on where the paired cards are selected from — +150 points if both cards are from the pyramid, +100 points if one card is from the pyramid and the other from the Draw pile, and +50 points if the matched pair originated from the Draw pile.
  • Card bonus — These are bonus points you earn based on your ability to clear the cards in the pyramid quickly. You get +50 points for every card remaining in the Draw pile after removing all the pyramid cards.
  • Time bonus — Each match lasts four minutes, so you’ll want to rack up as many points as possible. Finish early, and you’ll earn +4 points for each second remaining.

Fair matching

To ensure fairness, players are matched based on skill compatibility. This means that when playing head-to-head against other real players or participating in multiplayer tournaments, you will only be matched with players with a similar skill level. After all, the game should be a source of great fun.

Win real prizes

Clear the pyramid and get the highest points before time runs out! When you feel confident enough to take on a bigger, rewarding challenge, bust out of the solitary experience and play head-to-head against other players or in large cash tournaments.
Winning the game earns you tangible prizes, including real cash and bonus virtual currency that you can use for wagers in multiplayer matches. You can withdraw your earnings to PayPal or other payment systems supported by the Skillz platform.

Strategy tips

  • Speed is of the essence here as you’re on the clock.
  • Pair as many cards as possible before the match ends.
  • Try pairing the pyramid cards with other cards to score more points. Only use cards from the Draw Pile when needed.
  • When playing cash games, watch replays of the match to get a better idea of your opponent's strategies, so you utilize them in subsequent matches.
  • Lastly, remember that Pyramid Solitaire Cube is a game of skill, so keep practicing and perfecting your strategy. The better you are, the higher your chances of winning the big prizes.

The bottom line
