The Rewarded Play app was designed to provide a system where gamers can earn gift cards for various stores, including Amazon, Target, eBay, and Walmart. Right now, it is only available to users in the United States and Canada since most of the stores where the gift cards can be redeemed are in these countries.

Is Rewarded Play legit?
I’ve had my share of dealing with fake apps, so I’m naturally super cautious. I’m willing to bet I’m not the only one with this internal alarm system that screams “Scam” when coming across so-called rewards apps that allow people to earn gift cards and real money online.
However, as far as I know, Rewarded Play is a legitimate app. I took the time to explain what the company behind it does so you’ll know that it’s not a scam. They have a clear revenue model — brands pay them to connect with highly engaged users across Android devices. The platform rewards users with gift cards to incentivize users to engage with these gaming apps.
Another reason why I would rate Rewarded Play as a legit app is because it is also highly rated on the Google Play Store. Apps typically undergo verification checks before they can be listed on the Play Store, so for me, this adds a layer of confidence as to the genuineness of the app.

How Rewarded Play works
The Rewarded Play app works by following a simple process — download it on your Android device, play the free games there for a minimum of minutes, and earn points. When you have racked up enough points from casually playing games on your phone or tablet, you can redeem them for gift cards.
New games are always added, so you have many options based on your preferences. Some games also contain in-app purchases where you can spend real money to level up, but that’s strictly a personal decision.
Remember that downloading these free games will take up storage space and data. In my case, I simply downloaded new games one or two at a time on my phone. After receiving the points for playing the game, I’d just delete it to make space for another download. The number of points you will win per game usually depends on the conditions' complexity. For example, some milestones only require you to play a game for only a few minutes. Milestones that require more effort to reach usually come with higher points rewards.
Earning real gift cards in Rewarded Play
Note that a limit of 5,000 points is to be earned every day. In other words, you can’t earn more than 5000 points within 24 hours. There’s also a minimum number of points that you must have before you can redeem rewards. For instance, you usually need around 45,000 points to earn a $5 Amazon gift card. This means you must be willing to spend a lot of time playing several mobile games to earn higher-value gift cards.
Still, the games are not super challenging, so you can play them casually and make enough points to make the rewards worthwhile.
Lastly, it’s important to remember that the Rewarded Play app features ads, so be prepared for those while you’re playing games. However, you’ll likely see fewer ads as you move from one level to the next. Granted, ads can be a nuisance sometimes, but they help provide revenue to the rewards app and contribute to some of the gift cards that players can earn.

The reward options on the Rewarded Play app are as varied. Then again, it might take a lot of time to unlock the achievements that lead to bigger rewards.

Redeeming your winnings
This process is quite straightforward as well. When you’ve reached the minimum points threshold or have enough points for the higher-value gift cards, simply exchange them for the card(s).
You can get your gift card digitally, which will be delivered to your registered email. Some gift cards can also be delivered physically to you. However, this might come with additional charges to cover the delivery, so be sure the gift card is of a high value so the delivery cost doesn't negate the card's actual value.
One thing I should point out, though I haven't experienced it myself — some users have complained that the app didn’t track their achievements properly, so the number of points in the balance accounts was lower than they had anticipated. This can be incredibly frustrating, especially if you spent much time grinding for those points only to see they were not credited to your account.
That’s why it’s important to check once in a while and ensure that your earned points are reflected. If not, you can always contact Rewarded Play’s customer support and tell them about the situation.
