How to play Solitaire Fortune
Solitaire Fortune is your classic solitaire game where the goal is to organize the cards in descending order (King to Ace) and alternating colors (red and black). You play with 52 cards (No Joker cards) presented in 7 columns at the start of the game.
All columns have an open-face card, but columns two to seven have closed cards arranged under them. The second column has one card underneath, the third has two cards underneath, and progresses until the seventh column, with six covered cards underneath.
There are four boxes at the top of the board where cleared cards are stacked based on their respective suits.
The gameplay requires you to stack the cards with a King card at the top of each column, followed by a Queen card of alternating color. Let’s say you have a Black King of Spades at the top of the pile. The next card should be a Red Queen (of Hearts or Diamonds), followed by a Black Jack, then a Red 10, and so on until you uncover all the covered cards on the board. Build your organized stack to clear the board quickly during your turn.
When there are no more possible moves, tap the stockpile card deck in the top right corner of the screen. This will display three random cards, which you can use to continue building your stack and eliminate more cards from the board.
The game ends when you’ve cleared all the cards to the four boxes at the top of the screen. It’s also over when you’ve got no more moves left. If you’re playing a practice game, the AI has won. However, in a multiplayer match, it means your opponent wins the game and the total money in the pool.
Scoring mechanics
In Solitaire Fortune, your total score combines your base score and any bonus score you earn during the game.
The base score is calculated as:
- 20 points for every flipped card that you move to the tableau
- 20 points for every card uncovered in the tableau
There are point deductions for undoing moves and going through the stockpile after your fourth time through the pack.
Time bonus score
The standard gameplay duration is 300 seconds. You’ll want to clear all the cards as quickly as possible. Any extra time left after solving the deck will be used to calculate your time bonus score. The lesser the time to solve the deck, the higher the time bonus.
