How to play Yatzy Cash
Yatzy Cash follows traditional Yahtzee rules. The aim is to roll dice for scoring combinations and achieve the highest possible score.
To start the game, each player rolls all five dice. The player with the highest total goes first. On your turn, you can roll the dice up to three times.
The first roll consists of all five dice, and then set aside any keepers that can help reach your targeted score combinations. You may stop and score after any roll. If you’re not satisfied with the results from the first roll, you can reroll any number of dice as you wish or even all of them in your next two rolls. At the end of the third roll, you must record a score even if the value is zero.
There are 13 score categories, and once a category has been filled, it cannot be used again.
Getting a Yatzy
The one exception to the one-time use of score categories is a Yatzy. It is when you roll and get five dice of the same number. The first Yatzy you score is worth 75 points. Subsequent Yatzys are worth 100 points, which can be scored again and again as many times as you can roll them.
Remember, you want to end the game with the highest score possible, so you’ll want to get as many Yatzys in a game to rack up those points.
At the end of the game, the player with the highest point possible wins the game and is rewarded with real money.
